The cylindrical 2K pan and tilt camera is 4.2 inches tall, 2.9 inches wide, and white with a black camera assembly. The bottom of the housing contains a motorized pan mechanism that allows the top portion of the housing (where the camera is located) to pan 360 degrees horizontally. The camera assembly itself has a motorized mechanism that allows 96 degrees of vertical tilt movement. The Wyze Cam Pan offers similar pan and tilt capabilities with a vertical tilt range of 93 degrees. On the front is a status LED that flashes blue during setup, solid blue when the camera is connected and working properly, flashes red when the camera is not connected, solid red when the camera is recording, and flashes red when noise or motion is detected. On the back of the base is a mini USB power port and sync button. Included are a USB charging cable and power adapter, a ceiling mounting plate and mounting hardware, and a quick start guide. The camera records 2K (2,304 x 1,296) resolution video and features a 125-degree field of view and 8x digital zoom. Eight infrared LEDs provide a black-and-white night vision range of up to 30 meters. The camera assembly includes a microphone and a microSD card slot for local storage of event-driven video. The slot can accommodate SD cards up to 128GB, but you’ll need to provide your own media or you can subscribe to an Eufy Cloud storage plan. The 2K Pan and Tilt records video and sends push notifications when noise or motion is detected. You can configure it to detect human and/or animal movement while ignoring all other movement. It features motion tracking, two-way audio, continuous recording (requires an SD card), scream detection, and a unique Pet Command feature that plays a pre-recorded command when a pet is detected – so, for example, you can have the camera use your voice to say, “Get off the sofa” when it detects the dog on the sofa. The camera has a built-in siren and a built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio. It works with Alexa and Google voice commands and can stream video to a smart display. It also supports Apple HomeKit, which means you can control it with Siri voice commands and include it in HomeKit scenes. However, several features are disabled in HomeKit, including noise detection, pet commands, activity zones, and smart motion alerts. Also, the camera does not work with IFTTT applets so it can interact with third-party smart home devices.
