Using Smart Lock
This feature works only with phones running Android 5.0 or higher. If this is not your smartphone’s spec, go to the next step for sure. Google introduced Smart Lock feature to keep your phone unlocked once in range of a known device using Bluetooth or your home Wifi. O phone will automatically unlock if the feature is plugged into your smartphone as soon as it connects to a trusted device without entering the password. Google also introduced a feature with which your smartphone key will be your smart wearable, making it so easy for users. How can you enable it? Follow the steps below.
Reset your password
O feature was removed after Android 4.4, so if you are running Android 4.4 or lower it will be very easy to unlock your Android smartphone. Just enter your wrong pattern or pin 5-6 times and a prompt will appear on the screen with the name “Forgot password”. Tap the settings, the phone will prompt you to sign in to your Google Account for verification. Once done, the phone will prompt you to set a new password or pin. As stated above, this step will not be applicable for latest Android phones.
Use Find My Device
By this method you can certainly enter your Android smartphone, but at the cost of getting data from your smartphone. Yes, everything will be deleted. Previously, Google used to allow users to change pins directly in Find my Device feature, but this method had some security flaws and therefore the company removed the feature. If you don’t mind losing your data, please visit https://www.google.com/android/find and log in to your respective account. Select the phone in the device list and tap Delete.
Factory reset with recovery
This step is a bit complicated and should only be used if none of the above works. You can reset your Android smartphone to factory settings using Recovery feature. To do this, turn off your phone and hold the power key together with the up/ key to decrease the volume (depending on the mobile you are wearing). Wait until you see a startup screen on your smartphone, then release the button. Navigate to clear all data and factory reset options and wait for the process to complete. Note: The same disadvantage also comes with this step.
