How to Disable Notifications of Siri Shortcuts on an iPhone – Guide
Because of its continuous alerts, the Shortcuts app will likely make you nervous. The Shortcuts app is designed so that each action, trigger or automation gets its own separate notification to protect privacy. This prevents shortcuts or automation from running in the background without your knowledge. Having the same for custom app icons, on the other hand, ruins the pleasure of always sending a warning to the specialized shortcut, thus ruining the shortcut’s visual appeal in the first place. Fortunately, you can disable Shortcuts app notifications by following the instructions outlined below.
How to disable notifications for shortcuts
With the release of iOS 15.4 beta, Apple finally lets you turn off notifications when running automation using the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. Unfortunately, however, this option is limited to the automation you create or use within Shortcuts and does not apply to all other shortcuts selected in the My Shortcuts tab. Before proceeding with the instructions listed below, make sure you have updated your iPhone to iOS 15.4 by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If you see the message “iOS is up to date” along with an older iOS version number, it is likely because you are not listed in the iOS 15 beta program. To run personal automation within Shortcuts without any notification, open the Shortcuts app and select the Automation tab at the bottom. Here, select the automation whose notification you want to hide from the Personal section. When the Edit Automation screen appears up, you need to make sure that you have disabled the Ask before running option. To do this, tap the green switch next to Ask before running to turn it off. At the prompt that appears, tap Don’t Ask. The Ask before running toggle will now be disabled and grayed out. Once disabled, you should see a new Notify when run toggle appear below it. To hide notifications for the selected automation, turn off this Notify on run toggle. To save the changes, tap Done in the upper right corner of the screen. iOS will no longer provide alerts for selected automation. You can repeat the steps above for another automation whose alerts you want to disable.
