For the budget-conscious DIYer like me, there are two apps that do the same thing as CrashPlan, but use external cloud services (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.). These two are excellent applications for cross-platform cloud sync and in our case backupup up data. While both are similar, there is little difference between how both work.

The only downside to Cloudberry is the limited support for personal cloud services. Outside of OneDrive, Google Drive, and a few others, most of the services are business-quality.
