Resize | Shutterstock Sizer is the perfect solution to this dilemma as it provides the ability to set windows to a predefined size for your convenience. Tip This is also a very useful tool for web designers to test how responsive a website is.
How it works
Sizer is a well thought-out utility that allows users to easily resize program windows to their liking.
Your first step in using this app should be to configure the window sizes you want to work with. The screenshot above is self-explanatory, but you should keep the following points in mind. First, you can set the position you want to move the window to after resizing. You can also choose not to move the window after it has been resized.
Note the User Defined Position option. Users can enter their own coordinates for where they want the window to be moved, with Top = 0 referring to the top of the screen and Left = 0 the leftmost part of the screen.
Finally, the snap size of the window size defines the number of pixels by which the size of the window is increased / decreased when resized and the Ctrl key pressed at the same time.
There are three ways to activate Sizer. You can right-click the title bar of the program window in question, or you can choose to click the program icon – if there is one – in the top left corner of the program title bar.
You can also resize a window by clicking the right mouse button when the resize cursor becomes visible.
Note that you can also right-click when you have moved your mouse to the correct position to make the resize cursor appear to up the context menu that allows you to fine-tune the size of the window in question. Finally, you can resize windows directly from the system tray by right-clicking the Sizer icon and selecting the appropriate option. For this to work, you need to set Sizer to always show in the system tray. Even if you choose a note to use one of your preset options, there is an interactive tooltip that pops up up if you choose to resize the window manually, you will know exactly what size you resized the window to. This pops up as long as Sizer is open.
