Install Chocolatey
Let’s start by downloading and installing Chocolatey. It’s easy if you have administrator access. However, if you don’t have the administrator rights, then you should follow the steps given on this link; otherwise follow the steps below:

Once you have finished installing Chocolatey, you can now install Chocolatey GUI. Just follow the steps below to download and install it:

Install a single package
After you are done installing Chocolatey and Chocolatey GUI, let’s take a look at how to install a package using these tools – one by one. If you’re comfortable with Command Prompt, let’s do it, otherwise you can skip to the next section. Press Win + X and select “Command Prompt (Admin)I say to start it with administrator privileges because most of the packages cannot be installed in the non-administrator console, so let’s avoid potential problems. Type choco list NAME in the console (replace “NAME” with your search query). It shows you a list of packages that match your search query; find the name of the required package. Then type choco install NAME (replace “NAME” with the exact package name), and Chocolatey will fetch and install it.
Follow these steps if you are a beginner or are uncomfortable with the console. First of all, open the Start menu, search for “Chocolatey GUI” and run it. In the interface, click Chocolatey on the left, then type your search query in the text field labeled Search and hit Enter. It will try to find packages. After a few moments, Chocolatey GUI will display the packages with similar names. You must find your package right-click on the thumbnail and select to install of the options. It will then download and install the package for you.
Install multiple packages
Chocolatey GUI unfortunately does not allow to install multiple packages at one time. That means we have to rely on Chocolatey for this job. Type choco install NAME1 NAME2 into the console (command prompt) to install multiple packages (replace “NAME1” with the name of the first package, and so on). You can add as many packages as you need to install at the same time, but make sure to enter the correct package names, otherwise Chocolatey may throw an error.
Update a single package
Chocolatey GUI works well with updating packages the same way it works well with installing packages. You can update packages according to your preference in single mode or batch mode. Let’s take a look at how to do it below. In Chocolatey GUI, click on “This PCOn the left and you will see all installed packages. You can right-click and select a package Updating to update a package. Chocolatey will download and install the latest version.
Update multiple packages
Let’s see how to save time and update all installed packages in a system at once using Chocolatey GUI. It’s as easy as a few clicks buttons In Chocolatey GUI, in the left bar, click on ‘This PCTo see all installed packages. It may take a while to download the information about all packages. When the progress bar is no longer displayed, you can press the ‘Update everything button to update all packages and leave everything to Chocolatey GUI.
