There is noise in very dark areas, and the default photo style crops out highlights and shadows, and in bright areas the areas are blurry, as with other cameras with 1″ sensors. However, the LX10 does not have the advanced tonal options of the Sony RX100 IV and V. The Panasonic LX10 combines a fast 24-72mm-equivalent built-in lens with a 20.1 megapixel, 1-inch type sensor, with very good results for a premium compact camera. Image quality is on par with other cameras in its class, but what sets the LX10 apart is its ease of use and feature list. Thanks to its touchscreen display and excellent user interface, we found the LX10 to be very enjoyable to use, and with the addition of 4K UHD recording and 4K photo capabilities, you can get a full-featured compact camera for under $700. The Panasonic LX10 is an excellent value and a camera that performs well in all aspects.
