While iPhone owners are unlikely to stroke Apple for a tablet when you are in the Android ecosystem, the Galaxy Tab S8 deserves your attention. It is simply one of the best tablets available today and offers some unique advantages over the ipad for those who are not bought in Apple’s ecosystem. The Galaxy Tab S8 is practically inevitable by its predecessor. And while you want to see that the design is moving forward, it is hard to annoy in this case, as the slim Metallic slate looks every bit like Premium as its Apple counterparts with vanishing little lilies. At 1.1 pounds and measuring 10 x 6.5 x 0.25 inches, the Galaxy Tab S8 strikes an excellent balance of portability and utility with its large but manageable 11-inch display. While the Galaxy Tab S8 doesn’t get the Super AMOLED display of its bigger siblings, the S8+ and S8 Ultra, don’t let that put you off, no matter the tech behind it. Samsung knows what it’s doing with its displays. The 11-inch (2560 x 1600), 120Hz panel is bright and vibrant enough that you’d have a hard time telling the difference unless you’re looking at it side-by-side with one of its Super AMOLED counterparts . If you look at the trailer for the Westworld season 4, it’s a bit difficult to remember where this show started, but the movies are played by the Galaxy Tab S8 gloriously. When the trailer skips you, the now wild disparate settings get a good look at the entire range of the S8 display tab. The glowing red of a holographic city landscape illuminates your screen to give a way to a dark and atmospheric theatre district of the 1920s and then to be thrown back into the familiar dusty old west, which once defined the show.
