The Go Air Sport earphones, which come in black, green, tan, teal, and neon yellow, have hooks for a secure, exercise-ready fit. They are relatively comfortable in the ear, though people who wear glasses may find the design unappealing. In any case, three pairs of silicone eartips in small, medium, and large sizes are included. 6mm drivers have an internal frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz and an impedance of 16 ohms. The earphones are Bluetooth 5.1 compatible and support the AAC and SBC codecs, but not AptX. The earpieces have capacitive touch controls that are sensitive enough to do the job but occasionally fail to register touches. A single tap on the left earpiece lowers the volume, while a similar gesture on the right earpiece raises it. A double tap on the left activates your device’s voice assistant, while a double tap on the right controls playback. Backward (left) and forward (right) track navigation is controlled by a press and hold gesture. Tap either earpiece three times to cycle through the three EQ modes, which include the default signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost. A voice prompt tells you which mode to select, but we had trouble switching between these modes most of the time; instead, when we performed this gesture, the earphones played or paused music. The earpieces have an IP55 rating, which means they can withstand light splashes from any direction and are highly dust resistant. They should be fine for sweaty workouts and rainy runs, but don’t put them under the pressure of a faucet or completely submerge them. The rating also does not include the charging case, so make sure the earpieces are completely dry before docking them for charging. Because of the over-ear hooks, the charging case is quite large. It has the appearance of a clamshell, a flip-top lid, and a status LED on the front. There’s a lanyard loop on the back (though no lanyard is included) and a hardwired charging cable on the bottom. It’s difficult to overstate how much we dislike hardwired charging cables, especially ones this short. If the cable breaks, you’ll need a new case, so use caution.
