The battery life remains largely unchanged from the Amazfit GTR 2 and lasts for about a week, depending on which features you use regularly. Ultimately, this is not a smartwatch that you will charge every day. For its money, the GTR 3 Pro offers a lot. It’s a sleek, connected timepiece that’s easy to use and shows that there are options other than the household names to consider. Just accept that there might still be a few software bugs along the way, and the new Zepp OS as it stands can’t quite keep up with the competition. The GTR 3 Pro has a 46 mm case that is 10.7 mm thick. This makes it bigger and thicker than, say, the largest Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 for comparison. The case is made of aluminum alloy and can be paired with a black, infinity, or brown leather look that gives you the choice of a more workout-friendly fluoroelastomer strap or a more stylish leather strap. As a total package, you get a watch that can be submerged in water up to 50 meters, but owners of the leather version may want to swap it out for something more suitable for swimming. Both straps are 22 mm wide and close with a traditional watch-style pin buckle. You can easily take them off with the simple pin mechanism on the back. Our brown leather paired with a silver case looks very elegant, and you can say that Zepp has no problem making an attractive smartwatch. The case houses a 1.45-inch 480 x 480 resolution AMOLED touchscreen display flanked by two physical buttons. Zepp has already built really impressive displays on most of its smartwatches, and that doesn’t change here. It is bright, colorful, and can be switched to “always-on” mode if you want to have the display on 24/7.
